That’s right- the mountains are dense with Flora and Fauna, and provide so many important habitats! In addition, mountains provide up to 80% of the world’s freshwater resources. It’s safe to say that without the mountains, plants, animals and humans would not be able to thrive the way we do.
Physical Health: Being in the mountains is great for your health. Living in high altitude areas actually can improve your heart health! Mountain air is also great for your lungs, and is typically less polluted than city air. Many people like to ski, snowboard, hike or bike in the mountains. This too can do wonders for your physical health. With so many things to do in the mountains, there are many options to choose from when looking to live an active lifestyle!
Mental Health: To put it simply, the mountains are tranquil. Taking in a serene mountain landscape can be calming, reduce stress, and make you feel more connected to nature. In addition, enjoying activities such as hiking or skiing in the mountains is a great way to release endorphins and promote relaxation!
